It all started with a painting of Kevin Spacey:

In 2018 I was living in a North London warehouse, packed with artists, there were always old canvases laying around in the hallways. It inspired me to try my hand at painting, filled with optimism I set out to make a portrait of Aldous Huxley. Upon showing my friends my creation, they keeled over laughing, asking me why had I painted such a bizarre portrait of Kevin Spacey! Well I wasn't going to burst the bubble with the truth, after all, Art is subjective! This painting opened up the doors for me. Art could bring joy, it could bring laughter and for quite a few years all of this was reserved for me and my friends!

I began making paintings for all my friend's birthdays, for secret Santa, the birth of a child or simply when an idea came to mind. Always trying to find a humorous way to create something for that person that would brighten up their day-to-day life. Over the years I fell in love with making art that resonated with people in this way. Until, in 2024, I finally plucked up the courage to bring my art to the world!

I started stock piling any old bits of cardboard that I could get my hands on. I knew I was going to need to come up with plenty of ideas, and I certainly could not afford to paint on canvas! My first paintings were a series of Hands Holding Vegetables. I enjoyed the simplicity and the composition, but they needed a little more. I began putting faces on the vegetables, which opened up a whole new world to play in! Since then I have created over 100 paintings in this style, and surprisingly, there are plenty more to come !

What started as a side project, pop-up stalls and the odd commission, has now snow balled into a full-time passion project. Quitting my job in the summer of 2024 has given me the space to build the affordable art company, that I wish existed. Now you can find my work not only as Prints, but as T-Shirts, Tote Bags, Hats and Greeting Cards at my regular spot in Spitalfields Market !

Thank you for stopping by !

I hope your visit is filled with joy and laughter :)
